In This House was founded in 2020 by Leslie Chaggaris Vruggink with the clear goal of helping to provide housing to those who need it most. At the time, she had been a successful trial attorney in Dallas for over a decade but felt compelled to use her skills to make a meaningful difference in her community. After taking a step back from her law practice, she launched In This House to meet the growing demand for affordable and attainable housing for working families.
